Mango Rasam

Ingredients :

Mangoes - 1 (Neither too raw nor ripe)
Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
chana dal - 1 tsp
cumin seeds - 1 tsp
curry leaves - 1 stem
coriander leaves - 1 handful
salt to taste
oil - 2 Tbsp
Grated mango - 3 Tbsp

Method of Preparation :-


Cut Mangoes and grind in the mixie to get a fine puree.Heat a pan ,add oil.Now add mustard seeds when it splutters,add chana dal,cumin seeds and fry.Add curry leaves,Red chilli powder and after a minute add the mango puree to the pan.Add about a cup of water.Add salt and cook the mango puree for about 15 minutes.Meanwhile add some more water if required.You have to cook it untill it leaves the raw smell.finally garnish with grated raw mango and coriander leaves.Turn off the heat and Serve.
