Beaten rice payasam


Beaten rice - 1 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Milk - 2 cups
Cashew nuts - 10
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Saffron - 1/4 tsp
Raisins - 1 tbsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Water - 1 cup


Heat a pan with ghee.fry the cashew nuts and raisins and keep aside.In the same ghee,fry the beaten rice very well to a brown color and remove to a plate. Bring the water to the boil and add the fried beaten rice. Stir occasionally.Add sugar stirring now and then till the sugar has blended well.Now pour in the boiled milk, soak in a spoon of milk and add to the mixture,leave it to boil till semi-thick.add the fried cashew nuts, raisins, and cardamom powder and serve hot. Enjoy!
