Apple Halwa

Kaarthigai Deepam Special Apple Halwa.

Ingredients:

Grated apple - 1 cup
Milk - 2 cups
Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Cashews - 1/4 cup
Elachi powder - 1/2 tsp
Food colour (Yellow) - 4/5 drops


Method:

Boil milk then stir in grated apple and let it cook till soft for 5 to 10 minutes.Then remove from fire and stir in wheat flour and mix well adding water.Then add yellow food colour.Now heat another pan and add ghee.when it melts add apple mixture in it and keep stirring untill the mixture absorbs the ghee.Then stir in sugar,when it melts completely add cashews and cook.when it leaves the side of the pan finally sprinkle Elachi powder and remove from fire and serve hot or cool.Treat your taste buds...
