Elephant Yam Halwa

Elephant yam / Karunai Kilangu / Kandha Dhumpa Halwa


Elephant Yam - 1 cup (Grated)
Dry coconut powder - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 cups
Ghee - 1 cup
Elachi 2 pods
Cashew - 10

Heat a pan with ghee then roast coconut then add grated yam and saute well.add some more ghee and sugar and keep stirring.when ghee leaves the sides of the pan add Elachi and transfer it into a greased plate.
Garnish with cashews and serve.
