Nutella Roti Rolls


Ingredients:-

Wheat flour - 1 cup
Nutella -   2 tblsp
Water as required
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

Method:-

Mix flour with salt and add water and knead dough well and let it rest for 15 to 20 mins to ferment. then take little dough amd roll out the dough into chappathis and shallow fry in a pan with little oil. now apply nutella spread on the chappati and roll it.Now  kids will swipe off the plate and ask for more... An Ideal lunch box idea for kids

Cinnamon French Toast


French toast is a very easy, quick and healthy breakfast which the kids love alot. Its my niece's all-time favourite. So today i just tried to add some extra flavour of the cinnamon powder to it... My niece loved it.So you too taste it and let me know how it you felt...

Ingredients:-

Bread - 3 slices
Eggs - 1
Milk - 1/4 cup
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Cinnamon powder - ½ tsp
Oil to Fry

Method:-

Beat the eggs along with other ingredients except oil.Then heat tawa and oil, now dip the bread in the egg mixture and cook the bread on medium heat in the tawa. Cook on both sides until it turns golden brown and remove it from the stove. and relish...

Mango Oatmal

Ingredients:-

Oats - 100 Grams
Mango cubes - 1 cup
Milk - 100 ml
Honey - 20g
Butter - 10g
Method:-
Heat a pan and add butter, oats and milk. Stir until the oatmeal becomes thick.Pour the oatmeal into a serving bowl and garnish with mango cubes.pour honey on top and serve...

Guacamole Brushetta

Ingredients:
French bread - ½ loaf
garlic - 1 clove
olive oil - 2 Tbsp
Tomatoes - 2 (chopped)
Avocados - 2 (chopped)
onion - 1/3 cup (finely chopped)
cilantro - ¼ cup (chopped)
Lime juice - 2 Tbsp
salt - ½ tsp
pepper - ¼ tsp
Method:

Preheat the oven to 400ºF.Slice the French bread on the diagonal into ½" rounds and place on a baking sheet.
Toast the sliced bread in the oven for 3 minutes, then flip each piece over and toast again.
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and rub with the clove of garlic.Brush the tops of the garlic-rubbed toasts with olive oil and set aside.In a bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, avocado, onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper. Mix together gently making sure the avocado is well coated in the lime juice.Spoon the mixture onto each of the garlic toasts and serve.

Banana Buns

Ingredients:-
Bananas - 2
Sugar - 1 Tsp
Salt a Pinch
Curd - 1/2 cup
Maida - 1 cup
Oil - 2 Tsp

Method:-
Mash bananas then add sugar and salt.then add curd to it and stir in maida and mix well into a stiff dough.then add oil and mix again then leave it to ferment for 4 hours and roll the dough into puris and deep fry in oil.Taste these hot buns with any chutney.

Egg Salad Sandwich

Ingredients:-
Boiled eggs - 2 (coarsely chopped)
onion - 1/2 (finely chopped)
Mustard - 1/2 Tsp
Mayonnaise - 1 1/2 Tsp
salt & freshly ground pepper to taste
Lettuce to Garnish
Bread Slices - 2
Method:-
Gently combine all the ingredients to make a egg salad, except the lettuce and bread.Then take bread and apply egg salad on it and arrange lettuce leaves and cover it with another bread and serve...

Carrot Sandwich

Ingredients:
Sandwich Bread - 2 Slices
Onion - 1/2 (finely chopped)
Tomato - 1/2 (finely chopped)
Capsicum - 1/2 (finely chopped)
Carrot - 2 Tbsp (Grated)
Cheese -  4 Tbsp (Grated)
Butter - 3 tbsp




Method:
Take a Bread  Slice and apply butter on it,spread onion,Tomato,Capsicum,Carrot and cheese.Finally top it with another Bread slice and toast it in a sandwich maker...Serve hot...

Paneer Capsicum Sandwich

This is a quick and easy breakfast recipe...Kids love it alot..the paneer filling is quite healthy...

Ingredients:-
Grated Paneer  -  1 cup
Onion  - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Tomato - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Capsicum rings- 1/4 cup
Chat Masala - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp 
Roasted cummin - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Butter - 4 tbsp
Green Chutney
Bread - 10 slices

Method:-
Heat a tbsp of butter and stir in onion and saute till it turns translucent.stir in capsicum and tomato and saute again,then add paneer and cook.
when its done,remove from stove and keep aside.Now take sandwich bread apply butter,and spread paneer masala,sprinkle chat masala,garam masala,cummin powder,salt and keep another slices of bread.now toast this bread in sandwich maker.
once its done serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Puffed Rice Upma

Puffed rice upma???sounds different na??? yeah..its available in Prabha's Kitchen.Iam bored of munching the plain puffed rice.so adding a spicy touch using the Prabha's magic,invented a innovative dish...you can relish it as a breakfast or evening snack or just munch it as a chaat sitting on a couch...

Puffed rice is called as 'Pori" in tamil and "murmuraluïn Telugu...




Ingredients:-

Puffed Rice  - 4 big cup
Onion - 3 tbsp
Potato - 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Oil  - 2 tsp
Urad Dhal - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Cashew - 10
Dry red chili - 2
Ginger - 1/4 tsp
A sprig of curry leaves

Method:-


Heat oil in a pan and add mustard,hing,dhal,red chilli,cashew and curry leaves,turmeric,finely chopped ginger,finely chopped onion,
potato and saute well.now stir in puffed rice and mix well.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot...

Strawberry Waffles

Waffles are quite easy to prepare and tasty to eat.you can top with anything you like.here i used store bought waffle.but we can make at home and make various toppings....

Ingredients:
Waffles - 4 pieces
Strawberries - 1/2 cup
Chocolate syrup - 1 cup
Method:
Take waffles and finely chop strawberries  and top in on the waffle.then spread the chocolate syrup evenly and taste...

Egg Rolls


Ingredients:

Eggs - 2
bread - 6
onion - 1
Green chillies - 2
Ginger &n coriander paste - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1 tsp
chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Mint / pudina - 4 leaves
coriander leaves - 1 sprig
lime juice - 2 tbsp
corn flour - 5 tbsp
Oil for deep fry
Method:

Heat a pan add 2 teaspoon of oil,onion,green chillies,ginger and coriander paste,salt saute well.add eggs and scramble slightly then add turmeric,,chilli powder,coriander powder,pepper,pudina,coriander leaves and lime juice saute well till done and remove from stove and keep aside.Meanwhile dip bread in water and squeeze out excess water and stuff the egg mixture on the loaf and fold the bread then roll the bread in the dry corn flour .Heat oil in a wok and deep fry.Serve hot with ketchup...

Coconut Spring rolls

Ingredients:
Maida - 1/2 cup
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Cardomom Powder - 1/2
Oil - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Method:
Take a bowl,mix grated coconut,sugar and elachi powder and keep aside.In another bowl take maida water and little salt and mix well into a fine batter.mix it into a flowing consistency.Heat a Dosa pan and apply oil and then pour a Maaida batter into thin creepe.when its cooked the sides of the creepe will open up.at that time reverse the creepe and cook till the pores are visible.now spread the coconut mix on the creepe and roll.
Transfer into a serveing plate and serve hot.

Spicy Tomato Toast

Ingredients:
Bread - 2 Loafs
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Pepper - 1 tsp
salt to taste
Butter - 2 tsp
Method:
Grind onion,tomato,salt and pepper together in a mixie.Then apply this onion paste on a slice of a bread.
Heat a skillet with butter and toast the bread facing the onion side down on the skillet.when its gloden brown.transfer to a serving plate and serve with tomato sauce.

Rawa Adai

This recipe is a very simple and time consuming recipe which can be made with left over rice also.here i used freshly cooked rice.

Ingredients: -
Cooked Rice - 1 cup
Sooji / rawa - 3 tbsp
shallots -5
Green chilli - 2
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

Method:-
Mix all the above ingredients except oil.heat a sauce pan with little oil and shallow fry the adai and serve with Patcha kulambu

Chhole Bhature

Puri is called as Bhature in punjabi.its a punjabi dish served with chhole.thats why it is called as chhole bhature.click here for the chhole recipe

Ingredients:

Maida - 3 cups
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Oil for deep fry
Yoghurt - 1/2 cup

Method:
Sieve the flour and  add ghee and yoghurt. Make a smooth dough adding some water. Make small balls from the dough, roll into small round chapati shape.Deep fry in oil on both sides until golden brown. Serve this hot and fluffy bhature with chhole

Creamy fruit Toast

Ingredients:


Bread - 2
Butter - 2 tsp
Cream cheese - 2 tsp
Strawberry jam - 1 tsp
Strawberries - 5
Banana - 1

Method:


Rinse Strawberries and allow to dry completely.Toast bread with butter.Spread with cream cheese to the edges.Then spread with jam on it,Slice bananas lengthwise into long strips,fitting the length of the toast,Place strawberries on the top and cover with the another bread slice and serve...

Ooey Gooey Mexican Sandwich

Ingredients:

Bread - 2 slices
Mexican melting cheese - 1/4 cup
Roasted corn - 1/4 cup
Shredded Grilled chicken - 3 tbsp
Green chillies - 1
Lime wedge - 1/2
cummin butter - 1 tbsp

For cummin butter :


softened butter - 1 tbsp
garlic salt - a pinch
cumin - 1/2 tsp
chillie powder - 1/2 tsp
 
Method:


combine softened butter,garlic salt, cumin and chilli powder and keep aside

Smear some of the cumin butter on a slice of bread and place, butter side down, on warm griddle.
pile on some shredded cheese,corn,chicken,green chilli and more cheese.
Top with another slice of buttered bread.Grill until lightly golden.
squeeze a lime wedge on top before serving.

Idli Upma


Ingredients :

    Idlis - 3
    Onion - 1/2
    Cloves - 4
    Cinnamon stick - 1" crushed into small pieces
    Oil -  1 tsp
    Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
    Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
    Urad dhall - 1/4 tsp
    Channa dhall - 1/4 tsp
    Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
    Green chililes - 2
    Salt as per taste
    Cashews - 5
    Curry leaves - few
    Coriander leaves - few


Method :

Mash idlis with hand or cut into small pieces. In a wok temper oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urud dhall, channa dhall and cashew nuts. then add the green chillies,turmeric powder, curry leaves, coriander leaves and idli and toss well. Now add salt and saute well and serve hot...

Vegetables and Rice Noodles

Ingredients :
Rice noodles - 100 gm
Beans - ½ cup
Carrot - ½ cup
Cabbage - 1 cup
Coconut milk - ¼ cup
Capsicum - 1
Onion - 1
Fresh coconut - 2 tbsp
Chilli garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method:
Finely chop carrot,capsicum,beans and onions.steam cook carrots and beans.boil the rice noodles for 3 minutes in 225ml water and drain the excess water.
In a pan warm oil and saute onions and capsicum till done.Add chilli - garlic paste and saute.add all the vegetables and salt,coconut milk and cook for 3 minutes.
In a serving plate arrange noodles first and pour the vegetable mix on top of it.Serve garnished with freshly grated coconut.

Banana Puri

Ingredients:

Wheat flour - 200 Grms

Honey - 50 Grms

Bananas - 2 (large)

Oil for deep fry

Method:

Mix all the ingredients without water to make a fine dough.
Roll out pooris with a rolling pin.Heat oil in a Wok and deep fry the pooris.
Serve hot.The pooris will melt in ur mouth...
