Sooyam / Susiyam

Maida - 1 cup
Chana dal(kadalai paruppu) - 1 cup
Jaggery - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 2 Tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1 cup(to deep fry)


Mix maida,sugar and water to make a batter and keep it aside.
boil the Chana dal in a cooker.then Squeeze out the water from the cooked Chana dal and Mash the Chana dal with jaggery.Make small balls out of the Chana dal.Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot enough, dip the Chana dal balls into the Maida batter and deep fry till it turns into golden brown color and serve
