Janmashtami Special - Seedai


Rice flour – 2 cups
Urad dal flour - 1/4 cup
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Jeera – 2 tsp
Hing powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying – 2 cups


Mix all the ingredients except oil and make a soft dough with little water.
Roll into small balls smaller than a marble in size and let it dry on a white cloth,so that it absorbs the moisture.Heat oil in a Kadaai and deep fry seedais.close the lid for a while as seedais may burst at times.Once the sound subsides totally,remove on a kitchen paper and serve.This is very special dish for lord Krishna.Happy Krishna janmastami...
