Kobbari podi

Kobbari podi is a Karnataka special dish,which lasts for 2 yrs...


Dry coconut powder - 1 cup
Pepper - 1 tsp
Cummin seeds - 1 tsp
Dry red chilli - 7
Garlic - 25
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Mustard - 1tsp
Asafoetida 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 strig
Salt to taste


Grind pepper, Cummin seeds,dry red chillies, garlic and little coconut powder in mixie.once its done add the remaining coconut powder and grind.Now heat a pan and add Ghee and temper Mustard,Asafoetida,Curry leaves and add grounded powder and saute well till brown color then add salt.When its done remove from fire and serve with rice,Roti,Chappathi and even with bread.
